OXEA, one of the world's largest suppliers of oxo-products, was established in March 2007 by the merger of business units from two large chemical companies.
Worldwide, OXEA offers its customers a well-matched product portfolio along the entire value chain of oxo-chemicals. This includes a variety of solvents, polyols, carboxylic acids, alkylamines and olefin derivatives. These products are used in high-quality coatings, lubricants, cosmetic and pharmaceutical products, flavorings and fragrances, printing inks and plastics.

In 2007 the company achieved revenues of 1.0 billion euros and in 2008 revenues of 1.2 billion euros.

Number of employees
OXEA employs 1,350 individuals in Europe and the United States and is supported globally in its most important markets by a strong experienced sales team.
Approximately 1,150 employees work for OXEA in Europe. The Ruhrchemie plant in Oberhausen is OXEA’s largest manufacturing site. Additional sites include production facilities in Marl and Amsterdam. In the USA, OXEA employs approximately 200 individuals at its Bay City and Bishop sites and at its Dallas office.
