As a lathe operator working with lathe systems, you will produce components for machines,
equipment and facilities in accordance with quality specifications by turning, drilling and
grinding, for example. Your tasks will include the assembly and disassembly of components
as well as regular maintenance work. Your work will also involve using modern technologies,
such as operating and programming NC and CNC production machinery. You will work in the
company’s machining workshop. The training lasts for 3.5 years, and the initial prerequisite is
the qualification for admission to technical college (the equivalent of the German
"Fachoberschulreife"). 

Your course will start with comprehensive basic training in our training center. You will learn
about manufacturing technology and optimize your manual skills. The training will focus on
working with metal and plastics, for example: filing, sawing, drilling, turning and milling. You
will also learn assembly and maintenance techniques and how to read technical drawings.
Your specialized technical training will be carried out in our company’s lathe workshop.

The training ends with a final exam at the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK).
