As an industrial mechanic in the field of maintenance, you will be responsible for ensuring
operational readiness of machines, production and factory equipment in our company. Your
tasks will include regular maintenance work, repairs and the replacement of components.
You are familiar with techniques such as lathe work, milling, grinding and different construc-
tion technologies (e.g. welding, bolting), as well as with the mounting and adjusting of
components. You will be deployed in our workshops, production or pilot plants. The training
lasts for 3.5 years and the initial prerequisite is the qualification for admission to technical
college (the equivalent of the German "Fachoberschulreife").  

Your course will start with comprehensive basic training in our training center. You will learn
about manufacturing technology and optimize your manual skills. The training will focus on
working with metal and plastics, for example: filing, chiseling, sawing, drilling, lathe work and
milling. You will also learn assembly and maintenance techniques, the handling of machines
and work equipment, and how to read technical drawings.
